Robot Mops ,nobody likes to scrub the floor. From buckets full of dirty water to unhygienic (and coarse) mop fibres, it’s a labor-intensive task and badly in need of an upgrade. Some of them can be controlled by your phone or voice, and some even function as robotic vacuum cleaners. We’ve rounded up the best we’ve tried here, along with some buying tips to help you keep your floors sparkling clean.

Like the best robotic vacuums, few robotic mops are deep cleaners, but they can add an extra level of cleanliness to your routine and reduce the number of times you need to do a deep cleaning session. The Good Housekeeping Institute’s Appliance and Cleaning Products Lab tests hundreds of products each year. Including specialty floor cleaners like steam mops and traditional mops. That means we know what really works, and what doesn’t, when it comes to cleaning.

When we test a wet floor cleaning tool, we evaluate how well it picks up dry soils (such as gooey jelly and coffee drips) that we apply to test floor panels installed in our cleaning lab. We also look at the device’s ease of use and maintenance and the amount of water it leaves on wood, vinyl and tile floors to assess any potential damage.

What to look for when buying a robot mop

First of all, you will have to choose between the three types of mopping robot: wet mopping; combination dry sweep and mop; Mop and vacuum combo. Wet mops spray water on the floor to loosen dirt and then wipe away the dirty liquid. Very few suck dirty water. Others that combine vacuuming with mopping use disposable or reusable microfiber wet pads to clean hard floors with water.

Then you should also consider:

  • Battery duration- Look for rechargeable batteries that last at least 90 minutes. If you have a larger space to clean, look for a robot mop that recharges and then resumes cleaning to finish the job.
  • Easy installation and maintenance- Easier is better when it comes to charging the robotic mop, filling and emptying the water tank, removing or replacing cleaning pads, and setting it up for a one-time or regular clean.
  • Safety for floor surfaces – If your home has mostly hardwood floors, make sure the robot mop you select is designed to clean that surface. All robotic mops are safe for vinyl and tile floors.
  • Floor and carpet sensors – If you have a mix of carpet and hardwood floors, choose a robot mop that can tell the difference. Some robotic mops have mapping features, which allow you to select only certain areas to clean.
  • Application integration- This is useful if you want to see what your robot is doing, access maintenance issues, or schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time or while you’re away. You can also set forbidden areas that should not be cleaned through the app instead of manually blocking the space.

1.Braava Jet M6 Robot Mop

If you’re looking for a smart mopping robot to clean multiple areas of your home, check out iRobot’s Braava jet m6. iRobot vacuums consistently do well in GH Cleaning Lab tests. An earlier version of this model we tested was no exception. This robot mop comes with dry sweeping pads and two types of wet mopping pads: disposable and reusable. Dispenses hot water through an adjustable spray nozzle to dampen dirt and grime before one of the wet pads wipes the grime off your hard floors.

The Braava jet m6’s mapping accuracy improves the more you clean, and through the app you can select which rooms to clean and which to skip, schedule cleanings when you’re away from home, and have them overlap for a deep clean. The square design helps the Braava jet m6 reach deep into corners and clean along baseboards.

When the battery needs to be recharged or the water tank needs to be refilled, Braava returns to its charging station and resumes cleaning when ready to go. Braava jet m6 can clean up to 1,000 square feet on a single charge. After cleaning, simply throw the dirty cleaning pad in the trash or wash the reusable pads in your washing machine and air dry.

2.Braava jet 240 Robot Mop

At just 7 inches square and less than 3.5 inches tall, the iRobot Braava jet 240 can easily maneuver around toilets and under cabinets, something we saw in GH Cleaning Lab tests of a previous model. Sweep dry first to pick up lint, dust and hair before damp mopping or damp mopping for more intense cleaning. Add warm water or iRobot Hard Floor Care cleaning solution to the tank. And don’t worry: even if you have water in the reservoir, with the dry sweeping pad, it won’t spray water.

Different pads for different cleaning modes slide under the robot; You can choose disposable or reusable pads, which makes them even cheaper. A release button drops the disposable swab into the trash or releases the reusable swab onto clothing. The Braava jet 240 cleans in grid mode, using bump navigation to maneuver around bathroom and toilet pedestals, chair legs and other obstacles. It can cover approximately 200 square feet before the battery runs out. It takes about an hour to recharge. The mop syncs with the iRobot app via Bluetooth, allowing you to set up spot cleaning, start and stop the robot, check battery life, adjust water spray volume, and even set a virtual limit. Bonus: It’s small enough to live under the kitchen sink, even from the side.

3.Deebot OZMO T5

This combination vacuum cleaner and robot mop is particularly clever. The Deebot OZMO T5’s carpet sensing technology not only increases suction power when vacuuming carpets. Anyhow it also prevents wet cleaning on a carpet. And for added peace of mind, with its Wi-Fi enabled multi-level mapping capability, you can set virtual boundaries to prevent the OZMO T5 from walking over your carpet in cleaning mode.

Deebot’s Ozmo scored highly in our recent robotic vacuum test. Because of its great suction and ability to pick up debris from carpets and hard floors. The Ozmo T5 has a long-lasting battery. It should cleans over three hours on a single charge, allowing it to tackle a large area. When the battery is low, it returns to the docking station to recharge, then resumes cleaning where it left off.

As with other combo robot vacuums and mops, to start cleaning, all you need to do is fill the water tank and attach a cleaning pad. Water filters through the pad (you control the flow through the app), and the wet pad cleans vacuumed hard floors. The app also allows you to set up cleaning sessions, choose days, rooms and floor levels, and the robot vacuum and mop can also be activated remotely.

4.Jetbot Robotic Cleans

Samsung’s Dual Buffer Jetbot covers twice the floor than other robotic mops in a single pass. It comes with two sets of microfiber pads, one for dry polishing and one for wet cleaning. Simply fill the reservoirs above each pad with tap water to keep the rotating pads continuously moist while you clean them.

You can choose from eight different cleaning modes and patterns to tackle edges, target dirty spots, random clean, and more. The Jetbot’s slim design makes it easy to store and there’s even a portable mode for use on stairs and other floorless surfaces. At this bargain price, it comes with a remote and drip tray. Anyhow it’s not as fancy as some we’ve seen. You’ll have to block off the areas you want him to avoid and he won’t be lonely when he’s done cleaning. Each charge provides up to 100 minutes of runtime, so in our tests we were able to clean a vinyl kitchen floor and ceramic tile entryway and hallway with some downtime. And the dirty towels came out of the wash like new!

class="wp-block-heading">5.S7 Robot Vacuum and Mop

A wet robot mop and vacuum combo in one, this sleek robot (available in black or white) makes it quick to keep your hard floors clean while you’re busy with other things. The S7 knows where it is cleaning and where it has been. In our recent 2021 cleaning price tests, it was very easy to install.

If the battery is low, the S7 will return to its docking station to recharge before picking up where it left off, and can clean up to 2,150 square feet in a single session. The S7 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. The mop now lifts when it detects a rug. You can choose a washable microfiber pad or disposable mop pads for easy cleaning.

6.L10 Pro Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop

You can start by planning and controlling the cleaning through your app. In our lab tests, it moved exceptionally well under chairs and around furniture legs without getting stuck. It cleans stains and knows when to come home, an excellent option to pick up frequent lint that your pet loses around the house. Plus, the rotating brush is a combination of soft bristles and rubber. Fins to minimize hair tangles, making it easier to clean than hard bristle brushes.

Following a methodical path through the halls, he had no trouble picking up dust and debris along the way.

7.Deebot N8 Pro+ Robot Vacuum and Mop Cleaner

This smooth robot mop is so beautifully packaged that it looks like a gift. He maps the perimeter of a room, then methodically cleans the center and uses voice prompts that tell him what’s going on. Its long bristles reach deep into corners while gently rocking back and forth to pick up debris. Carpets and rugs were no challenge as the Deebot N8 easily climbed over them. In our lab tests, he mapped out the entire kitchen and found his way where others couldn’t, under chairs and cabinets, with ease. Because it only left our floor slightly damp, we call it the best for hardwood floors. When he finished, he announced that he was done with the cleanup and then returned to his base of operations.

Don’t worry if he seems to skip a section of the floor on his first start. He did it for us, but he found his way back and didn’t miss a beat. The sensors on it help him navigate very well. If he hits furniture or walls, it’s hardly a faucet. We like that its dust bin is easy to remove with a handle and void bottom design to prevent dust and debris from falling to the floor when the bin is removed.

8.RoboVac L70 Hybrid

Eufy’s L70 hybrid robot vacuum cleaner uses laser navigation and real-time mapping to help you find the most efficient route to clean your home. The L70 sucks up dirt and debris, while its carpet-sensing capability not only increases the vacuum’s suction to clean carpets more deeply, but also helps the L70 avoid carpets it may find when cleaning. For added security, you can also set no-mop limits via the app for any areas you prefer to avoid with Eufy. Additionally, the app allows you to set cleaning schedules, choose certain rooms to clean, enable spot cleaning or just mopping, and adjust the suction power and mopping flow as desired.

When the cleaning module is installed, the L70 knows how to clean and vacuum. A convenient waterproof mat attached to the charging station protects your floor from drips until you have a chance to remove the scrub module and pad. As a bonus, it has washable filters, reducing the number of times they need to be replaced. Reviewers praised the vacuum’s power and how easy it is to empty the dust bin after each cleaning. Slightly taller than 4 inches, it’s taller than most, but it’s a great value considering its bells and whistles.
